Established in 1991, Meaco initially created monitoring equipment for museums and art galleries. Since, it has used that expertise to expand into a leading air treatment company and major player in the industry, selling in over 20 countries in Europe.
Central to the Meaco offering is low energy consumption, low noise and sustainability, these are popular themes now but Meaco has been promoting these for 10 years, since launching the Low Energy dehumidifiers in 2012. In 2019 we removed plastic hoses from our dehumidifiers, reducing the amount of plastic waste by 100,000 metres annually. All fans, air purifiers and humidifiers have 100% recyclable packaging, keeping huge volumes of polystyrene out of landfill each year.
With the expansion of Meaco, we’ve worked closely with charities, namely the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in Zambia, whose elephant orphanage inspired the naming of our DD8L Zambezi dehumidifier, after a young elephant whose mother was killed by poachers. To date $60,000 has been raised to help the Foundation.
We pride ourselves on the numerous awards we’ve won for our products, including Which?, Stiftung Warentest, QuietMark, and Good Housekeeping Institute, amongst others. Our priority is ensuring our customers are happy with products that are quieter, cost less to run, and built to last whilst knowing that the air in their home is healthy. We are proud of the excellent feedback from our customers for our products and our customer support team.
